NHS_Hospital_formMinor Surgery is performed in the practice by all GPs. Procedures performed may include treatment of ingrowing toenails and removal of moles and small lumps.

Assessment by your GP will be needed before any procedure will be undertaken. You will then need to make a double appointment with both the GP and Nurse and sign a consent form at the time of the procedure.

We are now able to offer a Nurse-led service for emergency treatment of injuries that are not treatable with home first aid kits, such as minor cuts, bruises, burns, sprains and other similar minor injuries. Anyone can access these services including people who are registered with a GP elsewhere.

The service is available during our normal opening hours and although no appointment is necessary, we would encourage patients to phone the surgery before attending.

The service is provided, so that people with minor injuries do not need to attend hospital accident and emergency departments during our opening times.

Our Healthcare Assistants offer ECGs, Blood Pressure Checks and Audiograms.

Please note these are private healthcare providers and a fee will be charged, for details of the charges please contact the relevant provider.

Local hearing care specialists, The Hearing Care Centre, have teamed up with Wickham Market Medical Practice to offer a private clinic dedicated to earwax removal. The Hearing Care Centre's Ear Care Practitioner, Sarah Nichols, will be holding a monthly clinic in Wickham Market in the third Monday of every month (subject to change).

The Hearing Care Centre offers a relaxed atmosphere, allowing sufficient time with all their patients to remove wax in a safe and gentle way. They also offer an on-screen video image of the wax in the ear and the cleared ear after treatment.

During this procedure, the patient sits in a chair and the ear is rinsed with warm water from an electronic irrigator. The wax and water is collected in a basin or cup-shaped device which the patient holds under their ear.

The cost of this private service is £40 for one ear or £60 for both, with appointments lasting around 30 minutes.

To book an appointment please call The Hearing Care Centre on 01473 230330 or visit for more details.
